What we do

We know who we are. We're a software company

Guidewire develops and implements market-leading software for the second-largest financial services industry in the world: insurance. We build the core applications that Property and Casualty (P/C) insurers use to create their products, sell policies, settle claims, and bill their customers.

We're a sophisticated technology company bringing advanced approaches to what we believe is an underserved industry. We are resolutely—and successfully—single minded. We serve one industry and we focus on one challenge: enabling insurers to adapt to a rapidly changing market and succeed in their business goals.

Our technology is unique—designed and built on a completely modern architecture to meet the specific needs of the P/C industry with unparalleled performance, reliability, and openness.

Since starting in 2001, we've invested more than 1,500 people years in P/C core system engineering. And make no mistake, what we do is complex. The work demands a deep understanding of the insurance business and expert software engineering.

We would never claim to know everything about our customers' worlds or their industry, so we listen and we watch. We watch customers as they do their work. We also vet the requirements for a product feature with multiple customers to get their feedback. We dive into the detail. Because we do all of this, we are able to build extremely flexible and resilient solutions that move forward with every new release to the benefit of all our customers.

We eat, sleep, and breathe customer success. It drives everything we do and everything our global partners do. We go above and beyond for our clients. For example, our Professional Services consultants work on-site in partnership with our customers during the implementation of our applications. And as we are now a global organization, we've opened 18 offices in 13 countries to support our business at a local level. It's an approach that has seen more than 400 core product implementations and upgrades with an unparalleled track record of success. That's unique. That's the Guidewire difference.

Announced acquisition of ISCS, adding cloud based, all in one technology and 200 professionals.


Announced addition of 60 staff in Kraków office.

Testability + reliability + service = success: We have an unmatched record of customer success—we've never had a failed implementation. Our software repeatedly wins awards because it is developed, validated, and supported by the top teams in the industry.

Yes, we're immensely proud of what we've built. But we'd never dream of sitting back to rest on our laurels. We're tirelessly working to be faster, smarter, better. Our mission is to constantly improve so that insurance companies can succeed in responding to the needs of their customers in a world of rapidly changing technology and risk—this year, next year, five years from now, and thirty years from now.
